With many print businesses today moving to an 'online-only' model, Gold Coast Printing and Framing prefers to engage its customers in person to ensure they are provided not just with the highest level of customer service but to ensure that they choose the best media for their image reproduction.

Wade Hall chats to GJS about why Gold Coast Printing and Framing takes this approach and how the combination of its Epson wide-format dye-sublimation solution and high-definition Chromaluxe photo panels are helping to deliver the WOW factor when it comes to impressing customers and helping to drive business growth thanks to the versatility of the medium.

Gold Coast Printing and Framing, as the name suggests, we're a printing and framing business based on the Gold Coast. We focus on quality over our entire media range producing high-end results for our photographic and artwork reproductions.

Our customers range from professional and amateur photographers and artists, interior designers, to basically anyone and everyone who wants wall decor for their home or office.

We offer custom picture framing, fine art prints, fine art canvases, acrylic face-mount prints and then now we're into the Chromaluxe.

We like to engage with our customers in person rather than have an online shop where they can just upload their photo or their artwork, press print and it arrives to them in a couple of weeks. We like to get people in, consult with them, get what they really want, talk about different options, different framing, different medias. That way they can be 100% satisfied with the outcome and the result.

We first saw the Chromaluxe and Epson combo over in America at an expo and just fell in love with it, the "wow" factor that it produced, and we'd seen a gap in the market in Australia so we decided we really needed to add that to our media range. Our customers love the Chromaluxe prints just like us, they're "wowed" every time they see it. The quality, the amazing results and it's really light-weight and easy to hang on the wall. Some of the other good things about Chromaluxe is that it's a frameless option to suit any decor. And also we can custom-size so we can fit it in to any space.

We have an Epson wide format sublimation printer. That particular model was highly recommended to us to produce amazing results. It's a bit overwhelming at the start 'cause you think four colors, am I gonna get great results? But once you see the results, then you trust the good Epson brand and see the results and they're amazing.

The Sefa head press is Chromaluxe approved which really works for us. A good thing about the press is it's double drawer so we can actually, while one's pressing we can actually be preparing the next one ready to press.

As Chromaluxe in Australia is relatively new media we like to get people in and they can see it with their own eyes 'cause the pictures of it don't really do it justice.

Seeing is believing with this stuff the "wow" factor it has. The results are amazing. We're really happy with it.
