Glass Tiles - Bison - Textured Wall/Floor Tile
These glass tiles are a dynamic alternative to ordinary floor coverings and are suitable for high-traffic residential and commercial applications such as kitchens, hallways, foyers, business lobbies, executive suites, and boardrooms.
The tiles represent a breakthrough in longevity due to placement of the image on the back-side of the tile. This protects the image from fading due to sunlight exposure and from wearing away due to foot traffic.
The tiles can also be used for back-lit walls, wall murals, countertop installations, and swimming pools. Individual glass tiles feature a textured finish and are ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) compliant.
Should these tiles be exposed to water on a regular basis, a silicon grout will be required to keep water from collecting on the back of the tiles.
The 6" x 6" tiles met the ANSI and ASTM standards above without tempering. Image the non-tempered tile prior to cutting, as pre-cut tile may fracture during pressing. The non-tempered tile may be cut with a glass cutter, or a tile saw (wet saw application, new diamond blade) or using a waterjet cutting service (check your local vendors). We recommend using an Epoxy Thin-Set mortar in white for mounting the textured glass tile in any application. This adhesive should be readily available in most areas, and has exhibited superior bond strength without damaging the SingleStep white backing on the tiles. You should use a grout specifically formulated for use with glass tile. Tiles can be cleaned with any household non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge.
